Hi all,

being as it will be 50 years since Jim Clarks second F1 title next year and 50 years since he won his btcc title in the tripod cortina. Does anybody know of any large scale kits about to emerge of the any of the following cars?.

lotus 25
lotus 33
lotus cortina
lotus 49

it would be nice to build these as larger scale kits and how great would they be as a partwork (deagostini you know you want to, haha)particularly the 49. If anybody is interested in seeing the real deals running head up to knockhill for the btcc in august. Ill be marshalling and hope to get hands on with them.
Cheers
Peter

A bit of searching brings up a few more results if you know what to look for and there is a 1/12 49 by Tamiya but it's not cheap at $190 on eBay. Just search for NEW IN BOX 1/12 TEAM LOTUS 49

As for some of the others especially the Cortina, there are a few smaller scales 1/18 flying around but hard to find mainstream kits are rare if non existent I'm afraid.

If your prepared to spend BIG bucks then try www.bestbalsakits.com as they have the Lotus 49 and 33 but at €395.00!
