Don't think its been on TV or at many outlets, which suggests its only a local Test

Same people that made the DB5 partwork and the Honda CB750four Wink

The version with working functions is the DeAg version which is far superior Drool

I looked at the pics on the Hachette website and I have to say the model doesn't look that good, especially as it's 1/10.
The Tamiya super-kit is only 1/12, and has tons more detail and costs half as much.
I have the Tamiya, so I'll give this one a miss I think.
Pity it wasn't the old 250 GTO though.

What's the Hachette one like quality wise? Is the deagostini one better and when will it be released?

Are you absolutely sure this isn't the same car?

This one from Hachette has working headlights and brake lights, backlight dashboard, ignition and engine sounds, horn and opening windows.

In answer to another question, the quality is excellent.

I've subscribed, as this is a test not too sure how many / if any issues will arrive through the post, will update people here when things progress.

Got a letter through the post from Hachette saying my subscription will be despatched every month in packs of 4 issues.

A question though.

As this is (what we believe to be) a test run, is it likely that I'll only get a few issues then it will stop? Only ask as I'm not too keen to pay for them, only to find it gets pulled and I'm left with worthless parts.

What's peoples experience of these "test runs?"

Thanks,

Trev.

Just wondering what makes you say that?

I'm not going to buy it anyway as I have the Tamiya mega-kit, but surely if the McLaren sold sufficiently to the British general public, a Ferrari Enzo kit will sell a HUGE amount more???
Are you making your comments because it's Hachette and not DeAg?
Are Hachette known to be a bit 'unreliable' in some way?
I'm not trying to be funny - it's a genuine question.

Correct Rob.

Roy, it comes as a result of 20+ years experience and knowledge of Partworks.
This forum is not anti-Hachette or any other Partwork company, and members are free to talk about and build whatever they are into, other than the fact being that this forum is owned by DeAgostini, therefore in the main, it revolves around their product.

Trevor asked the question of only a few issues and was given an answer based on experience and knowledge.

Testing is not a suggestion of a company being unreliable., its just that testing has to be done to gauge potential, and is done by all partwork companies, because even the best sounding concept, may not be viable when it comes to reality, and it does not always follow that a test will later emerge as a full run.

Hello Mr T.....
I wasn't trying to suggest bias or anything - I was seriously wondering if you knew something we might not, as you HAVE got so much experience in part works.
As I said though, I have the recent Tamiya monster-kit and I have a feeling it is a 'bit' more detailed than the Hachette one, if not quite so big.
I won't be chasing the Hachette version.

Roy.
