I like others am not happy with the situation, we are paying alot of money for this model and the fact that there is a big colour issue and we being told to just spray it just is not good enough. iv built alot of little models but nothing like this, i have to scrimp and save every month to pay for my subscription and im not just gonna go and get some clear coat to spray over it. iv never done that before and im certainly not gonna be doing it to a £600+ model. i think admin need to come up with something beter.

Mr T have you got this problem on your one and did you notice it?

did japan have this issue?

Patience is a virtue. I rather wait than faff around. Even if it has been a a blunder its obviously down to manufacturing, and no model is without a challenge. so if you can get the replacement parts and find a colour match it will only make you feel extra proud of the effort and time you have put in. I guess not everyone will agree with me but those who treat modelling as a hobby will be gladly waiting and post a way round this issue. Until then hold on to your parts and let someone post a fix.

The easy way might be to buy the parts from japan if they do not have an issue with the colour, might be cheaper and cleaner way of getting round the problem.

Got through at 2nd attempt today. Lady did not know of the problem but has taken my request for replacements. Might be wise if all the customer service staff were made aware of this problem.

Part 1 is now out of stock
2, 3 and 5 will be sent subject to availability !!!!!

Question is, are these replacements still the same colour?

Call me stupid, but if its out of stock , why can they not order stock in the right colour and finish. I've given up trying to call waste of time if the replacement parts are the same. Yet again I see no Admin reply..

Dear all,

Following our investigations, the colour change only affects the front wing components that were painted red overall.
We recommend that you correct this by one of two options:

1. Overspraying the parts with clear lacquer to obtain a similar finish.
2. If you have already assembled the front wing, it will not be possible to refinish it, we will resupply Issue 1 and 2 parts, and the relevant parts from 3 and 5.
Please call 0845 1489 250 for replacements.

Thank you.

Couple of observations here.
Firstly, the "two options" quoted is just one option, phone us for more parts and lacquer them yourself.
Don't see an option two there.

Secondly, I don't think that DeAgostini has understood all of the required parts. By my reckoning, we need the following: -

Front Wing
Part 1 - Complete
Part 2 - everything but the tyre
Part 3 - Underside of nose (can't unscrew this once assembled)
Part 6 - Transfers.
Part 7 - Front Wing Stays

Part 5 for the nose plate would be nice, but can remove this from the old nose.

Rear Wing
Part 14 - Everything but the Top Camera
Part 15 - Complete
Part 16 - Complete

I notice that no mention has been made from DeAgostini with regard to the rear wing - is that going to be sorted as well?

I also believe that for subscribers, this replacement should be automatic, with no waiting for a phone call. Not that I want to deprive those buying from newsagents, but DeAgostini know who the subscribers are, they deliver parts to us each month, they should not be waiting for a call. The problem has been brought to their attention and we will have to attempt to rectify this at our caution. Have the decency to be proactive to your subscribers and get these parts out now.
DeAgostini also ship the magazine to the newsagents, how about over the next eight issues, the parts listed above are attached to the existing magazines, everybody gets the parts they require, no one has to hang around on the help line and the help line is not flooded with calls from annoyed customers.

Totally agree! Most of us have built our Rear and front wings! We need to have COMPLETE parts to make the rear and front wing with the correct colours! Deag sort this....it will NOT go away!!!Cursing Cursing

I am sure you have been watching Tomick and I appreciate you are in a difficult position regarding comments.
You have not commented for a while....is this Deag's instructions ?

This is getting worse by the hour as there is no constructive reply other than a half hearted fix from Deag.

This needs a firm reply from Deag and if it is not to replace the parts required as per the described build I will take the necessary action to remedy it.

I am printing all these comments and original pictures that are on the website in case this all gets deleted and would advise others to do the same so that there is proof.

I will not lay down and roll over, far from it, so please get Deag on here !!

I have not commented because this is a manufacturer matter which I won't be drawn on, other than to say that DeAgostini are fully aware of your comments and that it is for them to respond which I am sure they will.

I cannot now see a problem fitting them now, as we know these are the correct colour and finish and the wings will need to be same. This is the point I stopped building ( 46 ) and like you have not yet fitted these.
The parts are piling up !!

Cheers skiddy I like you are keen to get on with the build , do you suppose the offer of replacement parts for the front wing has been put on hold till its sorted with Kyosho , not sure which way to go anymore , thanks again .

The only way forward is to receive the correct parts ie colour and shine as per the pods. The 'replacement parts' as you state that have been offered are still incorrect, so would be a waste of time and money for Deag to send out as the problem will still be there, so...Deag have tried to put the situation to rights, but to no avail as Kyosho are obviously at fault as the manufacturer.
I don't see any problem carrying on with the fitting of the pods as Deag will have to send us the correct parts as per advertised model.
