STAGE 27:

Rear mudguards.

Pic 1: The mudguard 27A will fit under the wheel arch parts 25A and 25B.

Pic 2: Press-fit the part in place as shown.

Pic 3: Fit the rear mudguard 27B in place as indicated and fix with 1 x IP screw and 2 x AM screws where shown.

Pic 4: Fix the lower edge with 2 x NM screws.

Pic 5: Repeat with the mudguard 27C on the other side.

Pic 6: Repeat with the rear mudguard 27D on the other side.

Store the model safely.

STAGE 28:

Rear axle 1.

Pic 1: Locate the axle 28A and top cover 28B.
The cover will fit on top of the axle.

Pic 2: Fit the parts together and fix with 2 x IM screws.

Pic 3: Fit the left bracket 28C as shown and fix with 1 x BM screw.

Pic 4: Fit the right bracket 28D as shown and fix with 1 x BM screw.

Pic 5: Store the assembly safely.

STAGE 29:

Rear axle 2.

Pic 1: Fit the reinforcing plates 29B and 29C in place on the rear axle plate 29A.

Pic 2: When fitted, fix with 2 x BM screws in each.

Pic 3: Fit the control arms 29D and 29E in place and fix using 1 x LM screw in each. The parts are marked ‘L’ and ‘R’ but appear to be the same.

Pic 4: Press-fit the 2 x brake cylinders 29J in place on the back plate 29A.

Pic 5: Retrieve the rear axle assembly 28A from the previous stage and fit the axle plate 29A as shown.
Fix with 2 x BM screws.

Pic 6: On the left side of the frame 28A fit the two brackets 29F and 29H.
They will each only fit in the correct locations.
Fix using 2 x BM screws.

Pic 7: On the right side of the frame 28A fit the two brackets 29G and 29I.
They will each only fit in the correct locations.
Fix using 2 x BM screws.

Pic 8: Store the assembly safely.

STAGE 30A:

Rear stabilizer and shock absorbers.

Pic 1: Locate the two sets of shock absorber parts 30A, 30B, 30C and 30D.

Pic 2: Assemble the parts in the order shown and fix with 1 x QM screw in each.

Pic 3: Fit the 2 x links 30E to the stabilizer 30F and fix with 1 x IM screw in each.
Note the links angle outwards slightly.

Pic 4: Retrieve the rear axle assembly and fit the stabilizer bar 30F as shown.
Fit the brackets 30G and fix them with 2 x HM screws in each.

Pic 5: Detail of the fixing.

Pic 6: Detail of the other fixing.

Pic 7: Connect the drop link 30E to the lower suspension arm 29E and fix with 1 x IM screw.

Pic 8: Connect the other drop link 30E to the lower suspension arm 29D and fix with 1 x IM screw.

Pic 9: Fit one of the shock absorbers to the lower arm 29E as shown and fix with 1 x DM screw.

Pic 10: Fit one of the shock absorbers to the lower arm 29D as shown and fix with 1 x DM screw.

Pic 11: Store the assembly safely.

STAGE 31:

Rear differential.

Pic 1: Fit the differential parts 31G and 31H together to make two sets.

Pic 2: Fit one of the assemblies into the casing 31A as shown and fix with 1 x IP screw.

Pic 3: Fit the other assembly into the casing 31B as shown and fix with 1 x IP screw.

Pic 4: Fix the rear casing 31C to the upper part 31A as shown using 4 x CP screws.

Pic 5: Fit the coupling 31I into the open end of the casing 31A.

Pic 6: Fix the casing parts together as shown using 2 x IM screws.

Pic 7: Retrieve the rear axle assembly and fit the differential in place as shown.
Fix with 2 x BM screws.

Pic 8: Fix the other end of the differential with 2 x CP screws.

Pic 9: Assemble the parts of the cooling pump 31D, 31E and 31F as shown and fix with 1 x DP screw from behind.
The parts have been outlined for clarity.

Pic 10: Press-fit the assembly into the 4 x locating holes in the differential casing.

Store the assembly safely for now.

STAGE 32A:

Rear left hub and brakes.

Pic 1: Fix the short suspension arm 32D to the hub 32B as shown using 1 x GM screw.

Pic 2: Fix the longer arm 32C to the hub with 1 x OM screw.
The suspension arms will cross over each other – this is correct.

Pic 3: Fit the upper arm 32A as shown and fix with 1 x MM screw.

Pic 4: Fix the disc back plate 32M to the hub using 2 x QM screws.

Pic 5: Locate the disc parts 32I and 32J.
32I will go on top of 32J.

Pic 6: Peel the backing from 32I and stick it to 32J, aligning all the locating pins and holes.

Pic 7: Press-fit the hub 32K onto the assembled disc.

Pic 8: Fit the disc to the main hub as shown using a washer 32O first, then a fixing screw NM.

STAGE 32B:

Pic 9: Fix the caliper 32H to the hub using 2 x CP screws.

Pic 10: Fit the brake tube 32L to the pin on the caliper.

Pic 11: Retrieve the rear axle assembly and fit the hub in place as shown with the upper arms locating in the brackets indicated.
Fix the arms using 1 x RM screw in each from the outside.

Pic 12: Fix the bottom of the hub to the suspension arm using 1 x MM screw.

Pic 13: Turn the assembly over and fix the short arm 32D into the bracket 28C indicated using 1 x RM screw.
Next, fix the bracket 32P where shown using 1 x BM screw.

Pic 14: Fit the arm 32C into the bracket and fix with 1 x RM screw.

Pic 15: Locate the drive shaft parts 32E, 32F and 32N.
Fit them together in the order shown.

Pic 16: Wiggle the assembled shaft in place between the differential and the hub, and then push the rubber parts 32F and 32N over each end to hold it all in place.

Pic 17: Fit the brace 32G in place and fix with 2 x BM screws.

Store the assembly safely.
