Errors and Bugs in instructions

I'm adding this list of any errors or bugs in a single place to help folk out if they follow the magazines and find something doesn't work.
And so folk can check quickly for any potential issue before they build a pack.

Pack 4 - issue 11 - Ankle joint
Ankle joint is wrong way round in Magazine - turn upside down with bolt on bottom, not top as in the Magazine.
Note that the later magazines have it the correct way - but that doesn't get mentioned anywhere I've seen so far.
See 'pack 4' post in 'Official build' forum for images of correct way of installing it.

Pack 4 - issue 12 - Knee joint
Not an error or a bug, but a few helpful notes.
The Pin is a pig to get in properly(it was for me) so be patient and wiggle the bits a lot.

Tip one - check the alignment. The small nub on the top of the cylinder joint points to the same side as the large metal flange with screw holes.

insert pin with the knurled end outermost, so you have something for pliers to grip onto if you need to pull it out.
In suggest having a small craft hammer on hand to help gently tap it in place those last few mm's.

And if you put together with the hinge in the wrong way round you may need to gently tap the pin out a bit with a punch of similar diameter or a bit of metal pin/rod used as a punch. Just need to get it out enough to grasp the pin with pliers.

Update for Packs 15-20 the Hip area

I had noted that the parts for 14 and 15 were swapped. But that has already been mentioned in the official build, and in an email from Fanhome. So kudos to them both for covering that so quickly.

Whilst the hip sections all go together ok I did note two niggles with the Hip pin and springs that made me change the order a bit for an easier build.

Niggle 1) it can be hard to get the thigh locking rods in place with the pin and springs.
As the toothed gear struggles to get past the pin unless you can somehow push the pin back a bit.
Due to that I found it easier to secure the toothed gear rod in place first. And then put the pin and spring in.
Compressing the spring enough can be a right pain too. So used a flat bladed screw driver to help compress it and get the pin to drop in place.
(that was also a classic case of needing three hands to get something done with this kit.)

Niggle 2) Until the hip top cover is on any movement can cause the pin and spring to shoot out across the room. So try not to move the joint once the pins are in. The big spring so was easy for me to find, but could be fun in a cluttered work area depending on where it boings to.
This gets more of an issue before the hip fronts are attached as the added weight can cause the pins to pop out if you move it due to the weight of the metal parts causing rotations.

Given those two niggle if I had to do it again I would revise the build sequence slightly.
I would attached the back hip parts (stages 16 and 17 but without the pin and springs.
Then add the backs of the legs (stages 18 and 19) to the backs hip parts.
Have the covers from stage 20 at hand.
Then add a pin and spring to one side and right after pop on the front hip cover for that side to stop the pin popping out with any movement.
Then repeat for the other side to finish it all of.

Cheers
Stuntie.

Thank you for those tips, I am sure anyone building this kit will find them helpful.

All the build errors, either magazine or parts have been addressed and highlighted in the official build.
