right cam cover problem Options

All 6 plugs fit into the cam cover by 2 notches and 1 pin hole and that pin is where the glue goes but in this pic the place where the plug goes which is nearest to the clutch end seems to be missing this hole. Has anyone else come across this and if so did they just cut the pin off on that 1 plug?

just went to check Steve, unfortunately mine are all glued and secure, i cannot see the right side in any of the build diary photo's either, so can only assume that if the parts not fitting there may a slight issue!

not to tell you how to suck eggs so to speak but have you got the left & right sides of the covers allocated to the correct sides of the engine???

They are definitely on the right side Dan. All the other 5 plugs all had holes for the pins. The place where the hole should be is just blank and flat

Maybe someone who hasn't yet glued the plugs on could check their right cam cover and compare it to my pic?

Hi Steve

I think you have a faulty cam cover as with my covers they all had the three holes needed to fit the plugs. You can order a new pack or just cut off the mounting pin and it should fit ok as there are lugs on the square part that should seat the unit correctly.

Thanks Andy. I thought that was the case. I think I'll just cut it off as I have stuck the middle plug so would have to either remove it or order the plugs too plus I'll have to re glue the badge. It would also mean I can't complete this pack yet.
